Leading up to the wedding, the forecast wasn't looking great. As the day got closer, the weather became even more unpredictable. Heavy storms moved through the area, and tornado warnings forced everyone to keep a close eye on the sky.

Like many couples, Vincent and Bradley had planned portions of their day around being outdoors. But when the weather became a concern, we had to adapt and make adjustments throughout the day.

Thankfully, Riverwalk Place offered beautiful indoor spaces that allowed the celebration to continue without missing a beat.

Riverwalk Place has several indoor spaces that photograph beautifully. The venue provided great options for portraits, candid moments, and documenting the day without needing perfect outdoor weather.

(But some of my favorite images from the wedding were actually taken in between downpours and tornado sirens).

Finding a Break in the Weather

While much of the day took place indoors, we were fortunate enough to sneak outside for a few portraits when conditions allowed. Even a short window outside can create beautiful opportunities for wedding photos. Because we stayed flexible and watched the weather carefully, we were able to capture outdoor portraits without sacrificing the timeline or anyone's safety.

Those outdoor images became a perfect complement to the indoor photos we had already captured throughout the day.

At the end of the day, nobody remembers exactly what the weather forecast said.

What people remember are the moments.

They remember the ceremony, the laughter, the hugs, the speeches, and celebrating with the people they love most.
