Some weddings are beautiful. Some weddings are fun. Christine and Caleb's wedding at Round Em Up Ranch managed to be both.

From the sunflower details and unique venue traditions to karaoke, table games, and one of the most emotional parent dances I've ever witnessed, their wedding was filled with moments that guests will remember for years.

If you're considering a Round Em Up Ranch wedding, this day showcased everything that makes the venue such a unique place to celebrate.

A Rustic Michigan Barn Wedding

Round Em Up Ranch offers couples a beautiful outdoor ceremony space and rustic barn reception venue surrounded by countryside views.

The property provides several different photo locations, making it easy to create a varied wedding gallery without ever leaving the venue. Throughout the day, we took advantage of the barn, fencing, open spaces, and even a rustic truck that made for some fun and unique portraits.

One feature I particularly loved was the second barn on the property, which gave us additional options for photos and helped showcase the character of the venue.

Sunflowers, Champagne, and Funko Pops

Christine's wedding style perfectly matched the atmosphere of the venue.

Her champagne-colored wedding dress stood out beautifully against the rustic backdrop of the ranch. Sunflowers added bright pops of color throughout the day and fit the countryside setting perfectly.

The couple also added personal touches throughout the wedding, including candle favors for guests and a Funko Pop cake topper that reflected their personalities.

These little details helped make the wedding feel uniquely theirs.

A Bridal Party That Kept Everyone Laughing

One of the things that stood out most throughout the day was how much fun the wedding party had together.

Whether we were taking portraits near the fence line or walking around the property, there was never a shortage of laughter. Even though Caleb was battling allergies throughout the day, he kept a great attitude and fully embraced every moment.

The result was a wedding gallery filled with genuine smiles, candid moments, and plenty of personality.

The Round Em Up Ranch Locket Ceremony

One of the most unique traditions at Round Em Up Ranch is the locket ceremony.

After saying their vows, Christine and Caleb participated in the venue's special tradition by securing a heart-shaped lock to a cart on the property. The couple then threw one key into the pond while keeping the other.

It's a simple but meaningful tradition that adds something special to weddings held at the venue and creates a memorable moment for couples and guests alike.

A Reception Built Around Fun

Some receptions focus on formality. Christine and Caleb's reception focused on having a great time.

Guests found games waiting at their tables, encouraging conversation and interaction throughout the evening. The venue's outdoor spaces gave guests room to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather, while others took advantage of the photobooth to create fun memories with family and friends.

As the night continued, karaoke became one of the biggest highlights of the reception.

The energy in the room only continued to grow as guests took turns singing, laughing, and cheering each other on. Combined with a packed dance floor, it created a celebration that felt lively from beginning to end.

A Father-Daughter Dance I'll Never Forget

Every wedding has moments that stay with you long after the day is over.

For me, that moment was Christine's dance with her father.

Just days before the wedding, her dad had suffered a stroke. Despite the challenges he was facing, he was determined to be part of his daughter's special day.

Rather than skipping the tradition, the family found a way to make it happen.

Christine shared her dance with her father while he sat in his wheelchair, and her brothers helped wheel him around the dance floor. Watching the family come together to make that moment possible was incredibly moving.

I'll be honest. It brought me to tears behind the camera.

It was one of those reminders that weddings aren't really about the decorations, the timeline, or even the venue. They're about family, love, and finding ways to celebrate together no matter what obstacles life puts in front of you.

A Wedding That Came Full Circle

One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is staying connected with families after the wedding day.

A year after Christine and Caleb's wedding, I had the opportunity to photograph another wedding in the family when Christine's brother (Erin) married Saren.

It's always an incredible compliment when a family trusts you to document multiple milestones, and it was fun seeing familiar faces again.
