Why Dow Gardens is One of the Best Places for Engagement Photos in Michigan

If you're searching for a location for your engagement photos, there's a good chance you've already come across Dow Gardens.

Located in Midland, Michigan Dow Gardens is one of my favorite places for engagement sessions and one of my most popular engagement photo locations in Mid-Michigan. After photographing multiple couples there over the years, it's easy to see why so many people choose it.

It has all you could want like flowers, fall colors, wooded trails, or beautiful landscaping, or the perfect snowfall. Dow Gardens offers a little bit of everything.

One of the biggest advantages of Dow Gardens is how much variety you can get without ever leaving the property.

During a single engagement session, couples can take photos near flowers, walk through wooded paths, cross scenic bridges, explore the house, enter the greenhouse, and explore beautifully maintained gardens. This variety helps create a gallery that feels unique and keeps photos from looking repetitive.

Many locations are only at their best for a few weeks each year. Dow Gardens is different.

Spring brings fresh blooms and vibrant colors throughout the gardens. Summer creates lush greenery and full landscapes. Fall is one of my personal favorite times to visit thanks to the changing leaves and warm tones. Even winter sessions can create a beautiful and unique look.

Because the gardens change so much throughout the year, no two engagement sessions ever look exactly the same.
