Winter Frankenmuth & Bay City Wedding | Carah & Brady

Michigan winters can be unpredictable, but every once in a while everything comes together perfectly.

Carah and Brady's wedding on January 10, 2026, was one of those days. I was lucky enough to be a second shooter for The Falors.

Their wedding began at St. Boniface Church in Bay City before continuing to Frankenmuth for portraits and a reception at the Bavarian Inn. Between the beautiful church ceremony, fresh snowfall, iconic covered bridge, and traditional Bavarian food, it was the perfect example of why winter weddings in Michigan can be so special.

A Beautiful Ceremony at St. Boniface Church

The day began at St. Boniface Church in Bay City.

Winter weddings often bring a unique atmosphere, and the church provided a warm and welcoming setting for family and friends to gather and celebrate Carah and Brady's marriage. The beautiful architecture and timeless feel of the church created a perfect backdrop for the ceremony.

Snow Begins Falling at Wenonah Park

After the ceremony, we headed to Wenonah Park along Bay City's riverfront for portraits.

As if the day wasn't already beautiful enough, snow began falling just as we arrived.

Not the heavy, windy snow that Michigan sometimes throws at us. The kind of soft snowfall that every winter wedding couple dreams about.

The fresh snow added something extra to the portraits and created a classic winter wedding look. Sometimes weather can be challenging on a wedding day, but this was one of those rare moments where everything worked in our favor.

Portraits at Frankenmuth's Covered Bridge

From Bay City, we made our way to Frankenmuth.

No trip to Frankenmuth is complete without visiting the iconic covered bridge, and it made the perfect stop for additional wedding portraits. Between the snow-covered scenery and the charm of downtown Frankenmuth, the location felt like something out of a winter postcard.

The bridge remains one of the most recognizable photo locations in Michigan and provides a beautiful backdrop year-round, but there's something especially magical about seeing it surrounded by fresh snow.

Celebrating at the Bavarian Inn

The celebration continued at the Bavarian Inn, one of Frankenmuth's most well-known wedding venues.

Guests enjoyed an evening filled with great food, laughter, and plenty of dancing. The traditional Bavarian meal was a perfect fit for the location and added to the unique experience of celebrating in Frankenmuth.

From heartfelt moments to a packed dance floor, the reception was the perfect ending to an already incredible day.
